Electricity costs

Hello all, I'm looking at running a coffee shop. Could anybody who has done this or researched this please advise me on how much I should budget for electricity per m2 per annum.

Hi James,
I'd say your best bet is to go to a coffee shop out of your area, and find the owner/ manager and ask them.

Let them know you are opening a coffee shop but not in the local area so you'll not be a threat to them and if they are a nice enough person they should be willing to let you know what their bill per quarter is!

The problem you have is it will vary depending on the equipment you use and how many lights you have etc. and air conditioning for the hot summers (well next year might be) and the cold winters.

If you want a quote for the supply of your electric once you are up and running I can give you a competitive one.
