Hi and welcome kmoores,
To the best site for start ups around, As steve said it's the most helpful community for business start-ups around. It's great to read the logs and see what others are doing or going through in their start-up life and it's full of support and help from the other members/steve who are happy to help if they can.
Need i say more.
yes it's also a great place for networking and potentially doing business with each other.

Well that just leaves me to say Happy and Successful Entrepreneuring (did i just invent a new word?)

I'm not sure that I can add much to what Paul has already said, he has summed it up so well. I think one of the major attractions to me is the support - everybody is so friendly and supportive. Whether it's for practical advice or comments of the 'keep it up, you're doing well' nature, this is a great place to be.

The answer to your questions will most of the time be answered in this site and if not you will get an impartial, honest reply from one of the already 500 members, Steve must be doing something right!

Thanks all for the welcome! Sorry I appear to have been missing in action! I have been reading my way around the site and not realised that there were these great welcome messages sitting waiting for me!:)

I am just embarking on week 6, so as soon as I have my pitch re-written for the 15th time I'll run it by you. Hubby is co-conspirator in the business plan, so we work well, chivvying each other along...but after 15 years in the same organisation, it's a large and scary step! Thanks for you support.
