4th NIC EIC Assessment

On Tuesday I had my 4th yearly NIC EIC (electrical body) assessment, and I passed with not a problem in sight.

each year i have to take an NIC engineer around to 2 examples of work and show him i know how to do the required tests (most Electricians don't know how to do this by the way)

I found it quite worrying though that my assessor told me that he goes to some companies and that some have had a page and a half (which would be around 25) of defects to work that they have done!!

I find the standard and this is in work i have seen, quite low with a lot of electricians. The worst thing is the mistakes or short cuts they make are usually counter productive in that if they'd done it properly it would have taken less time!

Well I'm good for another year, so all is good with the world
